Analytics are important because it’s you insight into what is performing and what needs improvement. These reports are super helpful when you’re trying to figure out how someone found you, which video got better views and what post is driving traffic to your website.
THE TWO I USE
There are two platforms I use personally and I check them all the time to make sure I’m on the right track. Figuring out these reports can be tricky, but if you take the time to read them, you’ll probably find some awesome ways to continue making great content or, ways to discontinue habits that are causing people to abandon your content.
Google Analytics is what I use for my blog KaleiLagunero.com – I can see who is reading, which post is doing better than others and ways I can improve my content for my readers.
YouTube Analytics are what help you understand how long someone is watching (watch time) and where they’re coming from (search or recommendation) You can go on your creator studio dashboard and click Analytics. You’ll see reports pop-up and you can sift through them based on location, demographic and playlists.
What report is your favorite to check? Views? Demographics? Playlists? Content Pages? Let me know in the comments! Read more resources here
